Alternately, and with a little local knowledge, you can find a
picture of our building! Ours is smack dab in the center of the
frame. Zoom out to see where we are in relation to the rest of campus.
Directions from the
freeway...
If you are traveling north on I-5:
Take the Genesee exit. Turn left at the end of the off ramp and cross
the bridge back over the highway. You are going West.
If you are traveling south on I-5: Take I-5 Freeway to San Diego
County. As you approach the I-5/I-805 split, stay in the rightmost
lanes. The exit after the split is Genesee. Take the Genesee exit and
turn right at the end of the off ramp. You are going West.
Continue down then up the hill, keeping to
the right and turn right at the first light which is Science Center
Drive.
Cross over the bridge and pull into the left lane. Turn left when you
see a black sign with white lettering that reads "10350 Science Center
Drive Entrance."
Security procedures for
visitors...
Our lab is located in a secure facility
which requires that visitors follow security procedures. In the driveway
for 10350 Science Center Drive, there is a kiosk with a button to push
to speak with the guard. Tell them your name and that you are visiting
UCSD. They will open the iron gates for you if you are on the UCSD
visitors list.
Drive to the top of the hill and park in the lot. Enter the building on
the same level as the parking lot through the front doors. On your
immediate right is a reception area. The receptionist will be expecting
you and will give you a visitor badge and direct you to our suite.
