Hi! Welcome to my page. You may have arrived here by
accident, but just in case you actually wanted to be here, I'll give you a brief rundown on who I am. Let's
see...my name is Janelle Fine. I'm in my early 30's, and I grew up in Anaheim, CA (age 0-5), Bellingham, WA
(5-11), and Fullerton, CA (11-18). My name was Janelle Kosonen then. Since 1988, I've lived here in sunny San
Diego, CA. I went to UCSD and graduated with a B.S. in Bioengineering in 1993. Since 1991, I've worked here at
the Physiology/NASA Lab in the Department of Medicine, doing a ton of cool stuff I'd never get to do otherwise,
such as flying on the NASA KC-135 airplane (see photo above).
Since I graduated, I've been the hardware engineer here, working on
respiratory physiology experiments that have flown on the Space Shuttle
and Space Station. You can check out the Main Lab
page if you want more information on what our lab does. You can find me at work in the
Photo Gallery. Thanks for visiting!
